Sometimes we cannot take things for granted.
Sometimes you have to earn for your own keep.
Sometimes you got to work for what you want.
Sometimes you might have just missed your chance at it.
You might not know how much it means to you until you lost it.
This chance might not be yours now,
But don’t worry, your time will come again, and when that time comes, treasure it.
Quiz: The Brain Test
Left-brained
(totally agreed! thats why u probably see me blogging than talking)
Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.
It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra (which i enjoy), which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

Quiz: What Kind of Girlfriend Are You?
Laidback Lover
(i hope so.. but laidback to life its quite true)
Carefree and easy-going — that's your approach to love and life. Above all, you respect your boyfriend's beliefs, choices, and ideals, making you a trustworthy and supportive force in his decisions. Caring and thoughtful when it comes to your actions, you expect the same in return.
Even if you spend every waking moment together, you want to feel like you have freedom and room to breathe. For you, it's important that you maintain your individuality so that you can continue to bring something unique to the relationship. After all, you gotta be you.
Quiz: Are You a Risk Taker?
Getting Bumps and Bruises
(this is true to the extent of physical activities preference)
No pain, no gain! For a sporty soul like you, a few scrapes and scratches are a small price to pay for the thrill of victory and the rush of adrenaline through your veins.
You're an explorer who enjoys getting out and pushing yourself to the limit. If it'll get your heart pumping, we'd guess that you've done it already, or at least are game to try it. From cliff diving to river rafting to mountain biking, why not give it a whirl? After all, the view's better from the top. And you'll have plenty of fun getting there whether you're hiking, climbing, or 4-wheel driving to your next adventure. So keep exploring, just try not to push it too far. You're not indestructible, but we don't have to tell you that.

i took this Quiz: What's Your Cinderella Story?
from Tickle.com and here is my result:
Live Happily Ever After
(which is super true IMO lar!)
When it comes to setting goals, you're not afraid to reach high. How else would you explain wanting to be the belle of the ball, winning the heart of the prince, showing those evil stepsisters who's boss, and ruling the kingdom? You're a girl with goals, and you go after them.
Let's face it: You're not one to sit around and wait for life to happen. If the driver has the night off, you'd probably proudly take the reigns of your pumpkin coach and drive yourself to the party. You're not the type to have a team of servants at your beck and call although that wouldn't be so horrible, now would it? But if good ol' Prince Charming has anything to say about it, you won't have to lift a finger when you move into the castle together — unless you want to. And with your varied interests and natural drive to get what you want, you're sure to be true royalty in no time. And that's a happily ever after worth sharing.

Just back from the movie, Red Cliff 赤壁 'chi bi' with Adene , Diana, and Derrick.

first thing first, would like to give a shout out to Adene,
i know why tat Pirate guy is wierd...
he's Wa Long aka.Gan Xing(甘興) by Shido Nakamura 中村獅童 (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1217394/)
Japanese lar! tats why deska!
Synopsis: (from http://www.moviexclusive.com/review/redc
The story of RED CLIFF takes place in 208 AD in China during the Han Dynasty. Despite the presence of an emperor, Han Xiandi, China was then divided into many warring states.
The ambitious Prime Minister Cao Cao, by using the Emperor as his puppet, waged war on a kingdom in the west, Xu, ruled by the emperor’s uncle, Liu Bei. Cao Cao’s ultimate goal was to wipe out all the kingdoms and install himself as Emperor to a unified China. Liu Bei sent his military advisor Zhuge Liang as an envoy to the Wu Kingdom in the south, trying to persuade its ruler Sun Quan into joining forces. There he met Wu’s Viceroy Zhou Yu, and the two became friends amidst this uneasy alliance.
Enraged to learn that the two kingdoms have become allies, Cao Cao sent an army of eight hundred thousand soldiers and two thousand ships down south, hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Cao Cao’s army set up camp at Crow Forest, across the Yangtze River from Red Cliff, where the allies were stationed.
With the food supply running short, and the army vastly outnumbered by Cao Cao’s, the allies seemed doomed. Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang had to rely on their combined wisdom to turn the tide of battle. Numerous battles of wits and forces, on land and on water, eventually culminated into the most famous battle in Chinese history, where two thousand ships were burned, and the course of China’s history was changed forever. That was the Battle of Red Cliff.
ok back to Movie Review... *Julz's take on Red Cliff*
I like the movie based on the War-craft, made me learn more our Chinese Historical Roots/ Stories.
i always wondered what 'san guo yan yi' is abt, the only impression was the China interpretated Drama that has super alot of episodes. not motivated at all to watch it.
at least John Woo is smart enough to make it into a movie to lure ignorant lazy pple like us to know abt our China War History. i really enjoyed the movie and appreciated War Strategies through it (and other similar movies) too.. i'm so looking forward to the other epilogues of the Three Kingdoms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Kingd
(see also related novels :Romance of the Three Kingdoms 三国演义 )
Overall i enjoyed all the characters, although initially there was some confusion coz the 'uncle'-actors look similar. Adene and i were trying to remember who is who. the Zhong-kui lookalike Zhang Fei (张飞) was one of the more memorable uncle-characters.
i like Tony Leung's Character as Zhou Yu 周瑜- or maybe he's just rather charming in it.. looks younger, *he looks like he had a brow-lift* but he look so much better than that Lust Caution show.

i also like Takeshi Kaneshiro's Zhuge-Liang 诸葛亮, somewhere in my peripheral mind, i thought ZGL is a slightly plump character. But he's just damn smart lar..

Through this show, its fun to incorporate the usually used Chinese 'Chen Yu' Phrases into use. Although might not always be correct, its just fun for audience involvement and being able to relate to it. Eg using the Strategy in our modern times is also rather cool.
Okie Rating time...
Story: Based on Factual Events, being able to relate it to the terms and why this is done, the strategies implemented is commendable too! 4/5
Movie-making Quality: US$ 80 million (~S$110million) for production. The numbers used in this movie is vast ! What u think, of coz not bad lar, reminds me of a Pirates of Carribean equivalent. But i feel it can be improved. 3.5/5
Entertainment: with a lil bits of funny moments here and there, like delivering a baby horse, fanning doves, accupuncturing, its alright. i feel the strategy and the war-fighting is definitely worth the watch! and its good they add in the laughing factor to lift the serious-ness of the show and maybe to wake those rare sleepyheads.*tho i dunno why shd anyone fall asleep - maybe to those really catch no ball pple lar* 4/5
Overall: If u all dont already know, there's a Part 2 to the Red Cliff story. Alot of my friends feel like no ending, v duh, i'm fine with it, its like another 3hrs worth of show to watch... i like to 'qi dai'- wait/ anticipate for good stuff! Adene said it will be out roughly at year's end.
I just like this movie lar... 4/5 for me!
This brings me to Warlords and Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon which both i have yet to watch. Time for PPFILM! haha!
